Shit Art Club gave our parting gift of the decade to the universe. Church of Chang’s opening ceremony was a sacred experience that transformed our exhibition spaces into a communal gathering space, artworks into symbols and visitors into a congregation that connected with one another.
The crowd was steady throughout the evening and stayed for Chang’s liturgy of life. Immediately following his sermon, there was a procession down Los Angeles street to The King Eddy Saloon - the most unholy house on the block - where Dancing Tongues played a ripping set to the most beautiful group of dancing drinking human beings.
